Malibu and the Santa Monica Mountains can be affected by SCE Public Safety Power Shutoff events during extreme fire weather. A Tesla Powerwall can be part of a backup plan for selected loads, but the design should be based on battery count, protected circuits, solar production, weather and homeowner priorities.
