Between SCE rate changes, NEM 3.0 and PSPS/heat-wave outages, more Westminster homeowners are adding storage — for resilience and to use more of their own solar.
We design and install complete battery-backup systems for Westminster homes — new, or added to solar you already own.
Final battery pricing should be based on the written scope. Cost depends on battery count, existing solar, backup-load panel needs, Gateway or controller equipment, main panel condition, conduit, permit requirements and backup goals. We provide an itemized proposal after a site review.
| Cost driver | What to review | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Battery type and count | Powerwall, Enphase, one battery or multiple batteries | Capacity and output determine backup scope. |
| Backup-load design | Essential loads, partial-home or whole-home planning | Loads determine battery runtime and electrical scope. |
| Electrical scope | Main panel, Gateway, subpanel, conduit and location | Existing electrical conditions can affect the proposal. |
| Solar pairing | New solar, existing solar or battery-only planning | Solar production affects charging and self-consumption. |
*Incentives and financing should be included only after current program rules, funding, utility territory, equipment eligibility, reservation status and approved-credit terms are confirmed in writing.
Battery runtime isn't a single number — it depends on how many circuits you back up, how much you use, your battery capacity, and whether solar is recharging during the day. A smaller essential-load setup can keep the fridge, internet, medical equipment and key outlets running for a long time; whole-home backup powers everything but draws down faster. We model realistic runtime for your Westminster home and priorities — we don't promise a fixed number of hours.
Westminster is an established Southern California community with many older single-family homes. Battery sizing depends on your usage, backup goals and rate plan, and placement and ventilation are reviewed on site. SCE rules and any rebate or net-metering eligibility (NEM 3.0, and SGIP for batteries where eligible) should be reviewed for the specific property.

Westminster battery pricing depends on battery count, backup-load design, service and panel condition, Gateway or backup-panel work, existing solar compatibility, equipment location, conduit routing, permits and utility requirements. We provide an itemized project-specific proposal after reviewing the property and do not treat an incentive as guaranteed savings.
Both are excellent. Tesla Powerwall 3 has a high continuous output and a built-in solar inverter, which suits whole-home backup; Enphase IQ batteries are modular and pair well with Enphase microinverter solar. We recommend the one that fits your panel, solar, backup goals and budget.
It depends on your loads and budget. Essential-load backup (a backup-load subpanel for refrigeration, Wi-Fi, medical equipment and key circuits) is more affordable and runs longer per kWh; whole-home backup needs more capacity and a higher continuous output. We design the backup-load plan with you.
Westminster is in SCE territory, so California's Self-Generation Incentive Program (SGIP) may help fund an eligible battery, but the regular residential SGIP budgets are closed to new applicants and the remaining income-qualified Residential Solar and Storage Equity program is currently waitlisted, subject to funding, eligibility and approval — we don't guarantee any rebate. Financing is available on approved credit. We review what you qualify for before discussing project economics.
It depends on battery capacity, which circuits are backed up, your usage and whether solar is recharging the battery during the day — so we don't promise a fixed number of hours. We size the system to your priority loads and model realistic runtime before you decide.
