LADWP’s hidden advantage — legacy net metering.
LADWP is NOT subject to California’s NEM 3.0 ruling (which applies to investor-owned utilities SCE, PG&E, SDG&E). LADWP operates its own net metering rules with FAVORABLE export rates — roughly retail-rate credit, similar to the old NEM 2.0 structure.
