THE HUS STANDARD
A home upgrade should feel clear from day one.
Clear scope. Project-specific planning. Documented changes. Defined responsibilities. A closeout process you can understand.
Equipment, included work, known exclusions, permit responsibility, payment terms and warranty terms should be identifiable in the project documents.
HVAC, solar, roofing, battery and EV projects are reviewed around relevant conditions at the actual property.
Material changes to the agreed scope should be documented before additional work is authorized.
Closeout follows the applicable written scope, manufacturer requirements and approvals that apply to the project.
HOW HUS APPROACHES A PROJECT
From first conversation to documented completion.
Start with the homeowner’s goals, existing conditions and the problem being solved.
Define equipment, work, responsibilities, exclusions and relevant approvals.
Coordinate the applicable HUS team and trade partners around the authorized scope.
Document applicable inspections, project completion and warranty information.
ACCOUNTABILITY
Know what you’re approving.
If permits, inspections, HERS testing, interconnection or utility approval are part of the agreed scope, HUS coordinates the contractor-side work identified in the written agreement. Final approvals remain with the applicable agency, inspector, utility or program administrator.
This page describes HUS’s project-process commitments. It does not replace a signed contract, alter manufacturer warranties or create guarantees beyond the written agreement.
